- Thanks for sharing the link for updated firmware for Beetel 450TC2. With pre-installed firmware, I was stuck with DynDNS for only DDNS provider. Finally with firmware you pointed to in this thread, now I have option to pick no-IP as alternate to paid service of DynDNS.
If doing this for the first time, setting up a Wi-Fi network can be very tricky. However, sticking to the basics can help to avoid a lot of futility.
Download Airtel Beetel CPE 450-TC3 Modem Firmware 01.00.0001 (Firmware). Hence, bought a beetel 450TC2 from a shop. The Airtel person came and replaced the default firmware with a new one and rebooted the 450TC2. When the screen came up it said beenatone. I asked him why it is showing beenatone. He said, the default firmware will work for one wifi device only and this beenatone firmware will work for multiple wifi. Thanks for sharing the link for updated firmware for Beetel 450TC2. With pre-installed firmware, I was stuck with DynDNS for only DDNS provider. Finally with firmware you pointed to in this thread, now I have option to pick no-IP as alternate to paid service of DynDNS.
Pre-Requisites
There are certain Pre-requisites to connect to Wi-Fi. First you need to check that if your internet is working via LAN. Once, you have a working internet connection, a Beetel 450TC2 modem and a Wi-Fi compatible device like a laptop or a smartphone, you can continue setting up your Wi-Fi network.
Beetel Router 450tc2 Firmware Download Version
In this tutorial, I would like to show you all the ideal settings for most connection types with home and basic ISPs in India, so that you need not worry, if you use a BSNL ADSL or an AirTel WLAN type of network. Just try these steps with confidence.
Steps to Broadcast Wi-Fi
Step 1 — Login to your modem’s administrator section with the help of IP address. First connect your modem to laptop or a PC via LAN cable, open the web-browser and browse for the following address 192.168.1.1 and you will be directed to a login screen or a pop-up asking for credentials.
For stock firmwares, the username is admin and the password is by default password or admin. Please note that these credentials are case-sensitive so type them in small letters only. In case you have changed your credentials before and did not remember them, just find a pin-hole type Reset button at the bottom surface of your modem and press it with the help of a needle, gently for 10 seconds while the modem is on. This restores the factory settings, configurations and credentials.
Step 2. Once logged in, click on Interface Setup and make sure that your settings are the same as shown in the image below. Dynamic IP is highly recommended because it assures seamless yet simple Wi-Fi access.
Step 3. Within Interface Setup tab, there is a sub-tab by the name, Wireless Setup, once again make sure that your credentials are the same as depicted in the image below.
Step 4. Click on ‘YES’ to Broadcast SSID and choose WPA2-PSK type encapsulation method which requires a pre-shared key. In the SSID name field, give a name to your Wi-Fi network like ‘HOME’ and in the pre-shared key, type atleast an 8-digit password that can be numeric or alphanumeric including symbols and special characters. A sample information in given in the image below, then, click on Save.
Step 5. Goto Maintenance tab and restart the modem with current settings. Your modem will now restart and Wi-Fi network will be initialized almost immediately.

Beetel 450 TC1 is a WiFi Modem with four Ethernet ports. The Modem support latest ADSL and WiFi standards with a maximum download speed of 24Mbps. You can configure this for BSNL, MTNL or any other ADSL broadband connections through the user friendly web interface.
Connect this Modem with your PC/Laptop by using the supplied Ethernet Cable. Open the browser and type http://192.168.1.1. Type username = admin and password=admin in the popup window. Now the modem configuration page will be displayed
Select the Interface Setup Menu
Now you have to configure the Modem as per your requirement. The Modem may be preconfigured with Multiple Virtual Circuits as per the ISP. You have to edit/delete the preconfigured circuits according to your ISP. Click the PVC summery button to get the Service Information summary. In this popup window you will get the pre configured circuits. If you want to configure your Modem for BSNL select the PVC which is configured with VPI=0 and VCI=35 (In this screenshot it is PVC2). For MTNL go for the PVC which is configured with VPI=0, VCI=32 (In the screenshot it is not present . In this case you have to select any PVC and edit it). For Airtel go for the PVC configured with VPI=1, VCI=32 (Here it is PVC0)

Close the Summery Popup window and select the required PVC as specified in the above mentioned Share on Facebook Tweet on Twitter step. Now here we have selected PVC2 for configuring the modem for BSNL broadband connection SHARES (Remember we selected PVC2 because it is already configured with VPI=0 and VCI=32 which is the settings for BSNL) Select ATM QoS as UBR Encapsulation ISP PPPoE/PPPoA In PPPoE/PPPoA Service name (Anything to identify your ISP say dataone, MTNL, Airtel etc) Username and Password (Supplied by your ISP) Encapsulation – PPPoE LLC Bridge Interface Deactivated In Connection Settings Connection Always On Rest all settings keep as it is Save the settings
Go to the Maintenance Menu Select the System Restart with – Current settings Restart After rebooting you can surf internet.
WiFi Configuration and Security settings of Beetel 450 TC1 Modem Select the Wireless Submenu under the Interface setup (See screenshot)
Access Point Settings Access Point: Activated Channel: India – Auto Transmit Power : High (If you want to limit the usage within your room can set to medium or low) You can keep all the other settings to default. Multiple SSID Settings SSID Index: 1 Broadcast SSID: Yes (If you want to keep the SSID secret can set it to “No”. In this case the router will not broadcast the SSID (Name of your WiFi network). Then you have to type the SSID manually in your PC while establishing the connection. SSID: Identification name of your network Authentication Type: This is the security setting of your Network. Which decides the authentication and encryption techniques. The available options are Disabled, WEP64 bit, WEP 128 bit, WPA PSK and WPA2 PSK. Avoid using outdated technologies like WeP. Select WPA2 PSK or WPA PSK from the drop down menu WPA PSK/WPA2 PSK Set the WPA encryption to TKIP or AES Enter a non guessable key (No dictionary words) mixed with figures and characters in WPA Pre Shared Key field. In WPA group interval field, you can enter 100(This is the interval between the keys are refreshed means of you set 100 your keys will be refreshed every 100 seconds)
Wireless MAC address filter Mac filtering will give you additional foolproof WiFi security. MAC (Media Access Control) address is a unique number of each network hardware. This is the identity of a machine . There will not be two network cards (Any type) with a same MAC address. This is the manufacture set hard coded one. Through the MAC filtering you can optionally allow or deny a particular WiFi device on your network. You have to enter the MAC address of the client machines in the Modem to allow or deny a particular machine. For example – You have four laptops in a network and you want to enable MAC filtering. For this the MAC address of each machines to be entered in the Modem for connectivity, means you have to save the addresses of all four machines in your Modem. How to find MAC address For Windows PC go to start > Run ant type cmd Then type ipconfig/all and you will get some values as displayed. Note down the physical address of WiFi adaptor – This is your MAC address.
Important: You might have noted down the MAC Address like this 0214C4C29826 but if you enter like this Modem will display an error message “invalid MAC address”. You have to replace the ““ with “:” means to enter the address like 02:14:C4:C2:98:26 To enable the Mac filtering Set the Mac Address filtering to “Activated” Set the Action to “Allow association” Enter the MAC address of your devices in the Mac Address fields Save the settings and Reboot the Modem. Then connect your PC, Laptops or Smart phones using WiFi. Get the latest updates delivered to your inbox Enter your email id

Nitin I did reset my Airtel Beetel Modem, now trying to connect with BSNL broadband. I followed absolve steps, selected PVC2 with VPI/VCI as 0/35. But unfortunately it’s not able to connect. Giving me status Connected but also saying invalid PPPOE password. As far as I know I am using same credential provided by BSNL when they installed NSN modem few years back. I can use NSN modem without any difficulty. But unable to find UserName/Password from 192.168.1.1 with NSN. Please let me know how can I see username while using NSN modem with BSNL. Thanks

Roop Khanna dear sir, last week my modem packed up and i got another one from MTNL. they configured the modem at their site. now, everytime that i try to connect to the internet i am unable to do so though the DSL light is steady and all other lights are normal but the Internet light does not come on showing no internet connectivity. i think the modem has not been configured properly. if i switch the modem on and off and remove and reconnect the adsl wire i can get connected. can you suggest to me what the probable cause of this problem is. i never had a problem with my previous modem but am having it ever since i replaced that one with the 450tc1 modem.

Hii I have beetel450tc1 adsl2+router. It was used for airtel before. Now I am using it for BSNL BB connection. My BB is coming but my Wifi is not working. Reliance provides IP from its own dhcp server not from the router that i got from reliance , I wana use a adsl+ wifi router or a simple router . Roop Khanna dear sir, last week my modem packed up and i got another one from MTNL. they configured the modem at their site. now, everytime that i try to connect to the internet i am unable to do so though the DSL light is steady and all other lights are normal but the Internet light does not come on showing no internet connectivity. i think the modem has not been configured properly. if i switch the modem on and off and remove and reconnect the adsl wire i can get connected. can you suggest to me what the probable cause of this problem is. i never had a problem with my previous modem but am having it ever since i replaced that one with the 450tc1 modem.
yash sir, the problem i am facing is , when i connect to my wifi frm my device a dialogue box appears saying ” limited connectivity” what is that ? i am not able to solve this problem plz help

Hii I have beetel450tc1 adsl2+router. It was used for airtel before. Now I am using it for BSNL BB connection. My BB is coming but my Wifi is not working. The ID & Password used for airtel could not be reset. I tried using reset button but airtel ID & Password got saved in modem & are not going. How could I reset ID & Password so my wifi works

Ajay I did reset my Airtel Beetel Modem(Beetel 450 TC1 WiFi ADSL Modem), now trying to connect with BSNL broadband. I followed absolve steps, selected PVC2 with VPI/VCI as 0/35. But unfortunately it’s not able to connect. Giving me status Connected but also saying invalid PPPOE password. When I create a Broadband connection (PPPoE Connect using DSL or Cable that requires user name and password) and pass the user/password to Broadband connection It connect me successfully. But only one user can connect at a time. Please help

can u tell me the configuration setting for Reliance broadband ? because the above settings didn’t work in it . Reliance provides IP from its own dhcp server not from the router that i got from reliance , I wana use a adsl+ wifi router or a simple router . I googled alot , got nothing … and i have a doubt that reliance store the mac address and permit to use internet at single system at once .. if u have info regarding it , plz reply Thanks

ATUL hi, I have Beetel 450 TC1 WiFi ADSL Modem. I am unable to connect my wireless HP printer using PUSH BUTTON ( WPS ) method. Can you please help? Also other method is putting PIN of printer in router’s configuration software, but this I don’t know how to do. pls help
Arvind Dear Friends, Admin is out of station, you are requested to follow this : update firmware https://mywifi.airtelbroadband.in/airtelwifi/pages/html/firmware.html Confiruration of your modem : Google > type your modem model no. > hit enter. Mr. Atul you have to reinstall your printer driver. (just press 1 second BLUE INDECATOR BUTTON. Please note : be carefull during updation/firmware of modem.
